Students will use the case briefs they have written on the following cases—Griswold v. Connecticut (1965), Rowe v. Wade (1973), and Dobbs v. Jackson (2022)—to explain the history and origins of the rights to privacy and abortion. Students will trace the origins of these rights in the Constitution and Bill of Rights detailing the current legal status of these rights in America today. Students will then use Canva to create a flow chart or diagram to map the information and connections from these court cases and the origins of these rights found in the Constitution.
