For our first analytical paper this year students will answer the following question:
A. What political thinkers, foundation documents, and/ or philosophies do you think had the greatest influences on the U.S. Constitution (and in what way(s))?
a. Your argument/ thesis must be supported with direct and indirect references to primary sources either from one of our readings or another academic source related to this topic.
b. This is both an analytical and argumentative paper. You are analyzing primary sourced readings and outside resources to help support the claim you make in your thesis statement. The best papers will be clear, concise, and make a solid, logical argument that supports the assertion(s) made in your opening paragraph/ thesis statement.
c. Citation & Bibliography: On this assignment wherever you quote, paraphrase or allude to either a primary source, secondary source, or any other resource you must properly cite as a footnote using Turabian formatting. A Bibliography will be required.
