Investment Portfolio Project

For this project, students will create an account on How The Market Works. They will then research different stock options, mutual funds, index funds, and cryptos. Students will be given $100,000 of virtual money to invest in the stock market into different types of assets. Students need to research and come up with a diversified portfolio, invest their "money" into a variety of different assets, and finally draft a Investment Portfolio to hand in as part of this assignment. Below students will find an example investment portfolio to base their own work on. 

The ultimate goal of this project is for students to learn more about investments, personal finance, and financial markets. Along with this, students will engage with basic ideals of business and financial planning. Students should strive to create a portfolio that at least matches the S & P 500.
